I would say so. In the last day, I have found the following two blog posts:

And my fabulous friend Hillary alerted me to the fact Elle’s May issue has a whole section on green beauty. I will post more on this article once I have researched the products a bit.
Three things are very exciting about the blog posts and the Elle article:
- Several brands I already like and recommend to friends are included, including Weleda, Juice Beauty (which I discovered at Sephora last summer, before everyone started talking about it in magazines) and 100% Pure (which Hillary introduced me to!).
- Origins is going to go anti paraben as of July 1. This will make natural beauty more accessible to more people, especially those who don’t like to order online.
- I discovered http://www.rejuvinateorganics
.com/index.php — a central shopping place for paraben-free, sls-free, cruelty-free beauty products with the same free shipping deal as Sephora (spend $75 and get free shipping). That means I don’t have to read ingredients and look up definitions as much!
Duane Reade had Juice Organics on sale this week, so I picked up the moisturizer and the sampler pack (with the cleaning milk, serum and tinted moisturizer). I also ventured into the beauty emporium on Fulton (kind of like Ricky’s but actually even better stocked) and found a Burt’s Bees skincare try out kit. Unlike this one on drugstore.com: http://www.drugstore.com
All of this information and access to natural products is really motivating me to get away from my Bliss Ounce of Prevention PM moisturizer. Hopefully I can report back in the next few weeks on positive results with these other products.
