It’s been too long — I have missed writing this blog and talking about soaps and honey (which seem to be two obsessions I can’t kick) — I have been apartment hunting in New York, which is never easy … hoping that I will be wrapping that up in the next couple of days.
My soap obsession of the week is Rosecreek Soaps Company’s organic soaps. So far I have tried Avocado Creme and Honey Creme and really enjoyed them. They are very earthy like Chagrin Valley’s, but because Rosecreek uses extra virgin olive oil (or, as Rachael Ray would say, EVOO) the soaps are actually even more luxurious than the already very luxurious Chagrin Valley soaps.
Rosecreek also has non-organic soaps that use fragrance oils. Those soaps are also super smooth and lather wonderfully. So far I have tried:
Berry Brulee — this has a strong berry scent. Some days I love it, but other days it’s too sweet. That said, most soapmakers don’t have many berry scents, and this one is definitely worth trying.
Laura Mercier dupe of Almond Coconut — this is a wonderful soap and has rapidly become my go to coconut soap. The LM original fragrance was very good, and it translates beautifully into a soap using the duped fragrance.
Vanilla Bean — this is a sweet soap, but not a heavy rich vanilla like Wylde Ivy’s African Vanilla Bean, or buttery like Mineral Creek’s Copper Vanilla. Rather this is a nice smooth sweet scent.
Tahitian Nights Monoi de Tahiti — I got a sample of this in my order and it is a rich, yet not cloying, gardenia scent. I don’t love florals, but I did order two to send to my mom, who loves gardenia.
I have not yet tried Rosecreek’s other products, but the soaps really are lovely and all natural. Have a great week everyone đŸ˜€ And may soaps and other beauty goodies makes you smile!
