I am a huge Stila fan. So when I went to Bloomingdales at 59th Street a couple of weeks ago I was sad to see that the Stila counter was gone. I remember when it was front and center in the cosmetics section when you first came in. Then it was a nice big counter in back, with lots of space to browse. Now that’s the Benefit counter.
Then last week, I went to the Bloomingdales on Broadway in Soho – no Stila counter there either. Interestingly, Stila still needs to update its store locator as it shows Bloomingdales as a Stila retail location.
Those two Stila counters now gone inspired me to do some posts about how Stila has changed in the last couple of years. I have been meaning to do it for a while — the posts will start this coming week. I am thinking two, maybe three posts.
P.S. In doing research on Stila for some posts I have coming in the next few days, I found out that Jeanine Lobell, Stila founder, owns a toystore called “Enchanted” in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
