I have had great luck with etsy seller Cozy Moments. The scrubs are lovely, but what I really should tell you about is their Botanical Facial Cleanser. I just bought my third bottle of this great product this past weekend.
I am always on the lookout for an all-natural facial cleanser that is both cleansing but suitable for sensitive skin. I have tried various oil cleansing methods, but at the end of the day, I really like a bit of mild foaming.
Several years ago, I used Cetaphil, and loved the texture, but was heartbroken when I did more research on the ingredients. Turns out that, despite being dermatologically-approved, Cetaphil contains ingredients that irritated my sensitive skin. Plus, I did not like that one of its main ingredients was petroleum-based.
What I like about the Cozy Moments Botanical cleanser is that it has the same texture of Cetaphil BUT is made with surfactants derived from corn, coconut and sugar beets, is completely paraben-free and contains chamomille, aloe, cucumber and green tea extracts. These botanical extracts are wonderful for sensitive skin because they diminish redness.
The cleanser was just a little too creamy for summer for me, but as soon as it got cool this fall, I started using it daily. Usually, when I wash my face with anything that has some foam, my skin gets just a tiny bit red, but not with this cleanser. Plus, it is unscented and uncolored, so I use it to remove eye makeup without any stinging.
The instructions say to apply to a damp face, but I actually like to apply it one pump to my face without water — I rub gently, including my eye area, then wash off with water. I find that with this approach, all my makeup comes off with just one pump of the product.
