So as you can tell, I have been tinkering a bit with more widgets for my blog. I am also debating switching it back to a main text-1 side column format, or maybe have main text with 2 side colums, but both columns on the right. In the meantime, though, I decided to find another widget that tells me where you visit from that might fit into a side column — and I did.
Of course, this inspired a meme. I won’t tag anyone, but feel free to do the meme on your blog and let me know – oh, and if you don’t blog, you can do the meme within the comments:
1. What city/country do you visit from?
2. Specifically, though, where are you when you browse blogs? And, if applicable, where do you write your blog? (home, work, a particular spot in your house, a cafe)
3. What time of day do you browse blogs and/or write on your own blog?
4. If you have a blog, how much do you tinker with templates and/or widgets? And do you have a preferred template source?
5. What is your favorite blog widget?
So here are my answers:
1. What city/country do you visit from? Washington, DC
2. Specifically, though, where are you when you browse blogs? And, if applicable, where do you write your blog? (home, work, a particular spot in your house, a cafe) I do the bulk of my blog browsing/visiting/leaving comments on the weekends from home — I find it relaxing when I have a free hour on a Sunday afternoon for example. As for writing my blog posts, I also do those mainly at home, on weekends or late evenings. I generally add pictures last, and I often post several days after I write the post, which accounts for weird time-stamps (i.e. I write a blog post at 10am on a Sunday, but dont actually post it to Tuesday night – it will look like I posted Tuesday at 10am).
I mainly blog from home because it’s been a busy year and a cold fall/winter, so the thought of being anywhere other than my warm comfy daybed with tons of pillows and a blanket is, well, sad. But I used to write a lot more in coffeeshops, and eventually, when the weather gets better, I may again take my laptop somewhere other than home.
3. What time of day do you browse blogs and/or write on your own blog?
Nights and weekends, though I do peek at my favorites during random times of the day.
4. If you have a blog, how much do you tinker with templates and/or widgets? And do you have a preferred template source?
I finally got my blog to a layout I liked so I am definitely tinkering less. I still wish I could find a source of templates that I liked. As for widgets — those I love to add.
5. What is your favorite blog widget? Definitely the kind that tells you the places people are reading my blog
Happy Thursday!
