Beauty Monday is a weekly feature focusing on green beauty, paraben-free skincare and the beauty industry and marketing.
As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the Cleanse Your Soul, one of my favorite indie bath and body companies, is giving 10% off if you use the code CITYGIRL at checkout until January 31, 2009. If you have never ordered from there, you are in for a treat. I thought I would post some pictures from my last order so you can see for yourself.
Up to is a picture of the two scrubs I ordered – aren’t they pretty? Pink Marshmallows is a blend of the dupe of Pink Sugar with some marshmallow fluff. CYS has an awesome dupe of Pink Sugar, so it’s great because you can get all sorts of products that have Pink Sugar as a note, but other notes as well.
As you can see from the picture below, I got lots of pinkness in my order – I got a body cream in Pink Marshmallows to go with the scrub. I have bought both before and they layer really well with my Pink Sugar edp. I also got a deep conditioner in this scent – my hair has been really dry from the cold air, and I like that this deep conditioner is paraben-free! The oil-infused body wash is also paraben-free and wonderfully moisturizing. Pink Angel Fluff is more cakey and is a lovely scent to wake up to under the shower.
For spring, when I will want something a little more fruity, I got an emollient in Coral Sugar – this is the Pink Sugar dupe blended with blood orange essential oil, and it is very fresh and orangey. I was skeptical at the idea of blending citrus with Pink Sugar, but it really works. And make it more wearable for warmer days.
And finally, for days where I want vanilla, I got a body cream in Carina, which is a scrumptious buttercream scent, and an emollient in Vanilla Bean, which is a nice plain vanilla scent. To go with those, I got a scrub in Carina blended with Almond Marshmallow Cream, which is a new-to-me CYS scent.
As you can see, the packaging is basic and sturdy, which is great for travel – I especially appreciated it when I was splitting my time between two cities. And all the packaging is recyclable. Pictures by City Girl.

Oooh, fun stuff. This all looks great! Enjoy.
these look like dessert!
I want one of each! A few years ago I came across the recipe to make your own fizzy bath bombs but I can’t seem to find it. I prefer to buy it from someone else than to pretend that I am Martha Stewart!
You make me want to order even more products from Judy! If you like Pink Sugar, you also might like Pink Fairy Frosting. It has a super sweet frostiong note to it and it is actually my favorite Pink Sugar blend from her.
