You will notice on the right side of this blog a list of the blogs I like to visit regularly – and yes, I have them there to share with you, but I also have them there because I am lazy and I like to click on them from here. I also have a Blogger Reader that has many more blogs, but then I neglect it and it gets scary and tells me things like I have a 1000 posts to read.
Well, one of the blogs I have been reading for a long time is
Orangette – it’s technically about food, but it’s really about life. The author, Molly Wizenberg, has a way of talking about life and food and weaving the two seamlessly. And she has a book coming out in just a few short weeks –
A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table. If you check out the right side of her blog, there is a link to book events and details – and she’s stopping in Washington, DC on March 16. If you are local, you should totally go (especially because as much as I completely want to go, the odds of me being able to leave work that early are very low) – here are the details: March 16, 5:30 to 7:00 pm, booksigning party at Ceiba. There will be a cash bar, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and books available for purchase. There will also be book events in California, Oklahoma, Washington State or Oregon, and likely other cities. And in the meantime, do go check out
