I just realized this morning it’s been two years since I started blogging – I know City Girl Lifestyle, in its current incarnation, is only about 9 months old, but when I was looking back at the content of the beauty blog I wrote from April 2007 to July 2008, it struck me how many posts were more City Girl Lifestyle than a beauty blog. I finally imported all the content from the old blog these past few weeks – it’s my blog, I can do what I want! And that way, all my blog content is in one place, and I can reflect on how much better my blogging is – I wanted to delete so many of my early posts, but I made myself keep them so I can see how much things have changed.
It’s funny how I started writing a beauty blog two years ago and within less than 6 months it was already more like what ended up becoming City Girl Lifestyle. What is so funny about my old beauty blog is that after over six months of blogging about beauty products, I got bored with them. It was truly inexplicable, considering my longstanding love for makeup and bath and body products and Sephora. I still like to shop for them and occasionally write about them, but I discovered I wanted to write about more things. Like clothes, and food, and balance, and life.
Yet, it never occurred to me to stop blogging – and I am so glad I didn’t. I love chatting with all of you, whether it’s through this blog, your blogs, email, twitter – it’s wonderful. I love knowing that some of you have read my blogging since I just wrote about beauty products. So thank you SO much for always visiting. Thank you for visiting me even when I disappear for a few days. And thank you for reading and commenting. It means so much to me.

Happy Anniversary!
I enjoyed Beauty Musings, but I love CGL even more because of the way it has evolved.
I think when we start blogging we have a plan of what the blog will be, but then as time goes by and we feel more at home with the blog, it truly becomes a reflection of the writer. At least that is how I feel.
Here’s to two more years!
Karley
