Today, I went to the Dupont market and was greeted by this lovely scene:
Needless to say, it made my day. These were the first local strawberries of the year. And they were delicious too – I had some after dinner tonight.

Yay! The farmer’s market had strawberries this past weekend too, was so happy to see them! I got 2 huge containers and they’re so yummy.

i’m just now starting to get a few here and there and they are delish! i think they are the best when they are still warm from the sun. so much more berry flavor.
