If you read my blog when I lived in Brooklyn, you may remember how much I loved the huaraches from the Latin American food vendors at the Brooklyn Flea Market. Back in April I stumbled on the DC version – I haven’t been back more recently, but if you are in Adams Morgan, do check it out. This article from the Washington Post gives a great summary of all the different options. Many thanks to Carol for directing me to the article.
As you can see, the tacos are yummy:
I liked the chicken best:
They also have pork pupusas and, for vegetarians, fried tortillas with tasty veggies:
There are many other food options, including an Argentine stand with empanadas and other eats:
And the atmosphere is very relaxed:
It was a lot of fun when I was there in April. Hopefully, I will make it back there this summer at some point. Pictures by City Girl.

So fun to see your take on DC-based local/international morsels. Love your posts and point of view on life in the city!
Yum! I cannot wait until we come to DC in August! I'm keeping all of your food recommendations in mind
Yum is right!
I once dated an Argentine and all macho passion and juicy muscles aside, his mother's empanadas were by far his best side.
I love your outspoken eye on the city, City Girl. And thanks for coming back to my kitchen!
Ciao,
