The lovely Lauren of Everyday Revelry and Analiese of Tulips and Tea both awarded me this lovely blog award. Thank you. Your blogs have been delightful to read since you started blogging earlier this year!
As part of passing this award on, I am listing six reasons I am happy today:
1. Going to a Kimberly Wilson retreat in just four days!
2. Meeting the lovely Melita of Gussying up the Tuttle at said retreat.
3. Mashed avocado and wild salmon on toast for breakfast this morning – yum!
4. Husband who is so supportive and understanding and kind.
5. My job.
6. Having more energy now than I have had probably well, ever (I am planning a series of posts on that journey at some point very soon, I promise).
And now to pass this award on to others:
1. Monica at Ciao Chessa, whose photography makes me smile and cry, often at the same time.
2. Lola at Aglio, Olio & Peperoncino, who inspires me (be sure to check out her chocolate saga)
3. Stacey at Love and Photographs. I am so glad she decided to continue blogging.
4. Juliette at A Little Foodie, whose love for cooking (despite a busy schedule as a graduate student) is contagious.
5. Kiki at The Prosecco Life, another indomitable graduate student.
6. Kirsten at the Karma Project, a new blog concept I just love.
7. Noodlegirl at A Little Dash of This A Little Dash of That, who always reminds me of endless combinations to a great meal.
8. Ivy at Kopiaste for her welcoming blog full of beautiful recipes.
9. Rosa of Rosa’s Yummy Yums for the treasure trove of information her blog contains (this goes for Ivy as well – both great resources on food).
10. Karley at Chic and Green for her dedication to indie companies and green living.
I don’t actually know how many blogs I am supposed to pass this on to – but 10 seemed like a good number

congrats on your blog award lovie!! i was gonna give it to you but someone beat me to it, so, i decided to give it to people who had yet to get the award.
i can't wait to finally meet you in person!! i'm SO looking forward to the staycation and hanging out w/ you!!
i am so sad i won't be there to hang out with you two!!!!!!!!!
and i really wanna hear about the energy thing!!
Congrats!!
Oh yes, post about having more energy. I need some tips!
I too wish I was at this weekend's summer solstice in DC, but I can't afford the trip. Fortunately, my yoga studio in the Philly burbs is having a free outdoor fest for summer on the same day.
Thanks ladies – I feel very fortunate Kimberly is doing a retreat in DC – going out of town for a retreat is just not an option for me either.
As for the energy thing, I am working on a series of posts on that. I have actually had a lot of health problems for the last couple of years, and finally started taking a serious look at food allergies (even though i hae like no allergic reactions to anything). To give you a quick preview, I am currently on a no-dairy, no-wheat, no-sugar, no-corn, no-caffeine and no-alcohol diet – so as excited as I am about the energy levels, it's not exactly easy work either.
Eeep! Thank you SO much!
Oh my thanks for the award!!!! Gosh I am quite envious about the retreat!
Congrats for the award and thanks a lot for passing in it on to me as well.
Thanks for the award! That's so kind of you!
Take your time regarding the e-mail…
Cheers,
Rosa
Thank you for the award and the kind words, City Girl!
I will go visit my interesting fellow recipients, some look quite fun!
Ciao,
Lolaxx
Congratulations on the award. Have found your blog via Carolyn and Melita (have been reading Kimberly Wilson blog/listening to her podcast for the last 2 years – so envious of your plans for next week-end).
I had tests for food intolerances a few years back and have virtually cut yeast out of my diet – it has made a huge difference. Looking forward to reading your posts…
Thanks so much for the award! Seems particularly fitting as I am just planning my return visit to DC. I interned there in 2007, and I'll be back for a few weeks, for research in September. Very exciting!
Thanks, City Girl! I love the fact that you described me as "indomitable" – what a terrific adjective.
Hope we can meet in person one day…
