Today I went to a lovely day-long retreat led by Kimberly Wilson – this was essentially a mid-year follow up to her January retreat, which I also attended. Kimberly is the very multitalented founder of Tranquilspace, a lovely yoga studio here in Washington, DC. Kimberly leads fantastic retreats, always with goody bags greeting you, a chance to shop for some fabulous TranquiliT pieces (see above) and delicious organic vegetarian food.
Today’s retreat was held offsite, and was similar to January’s retreat in terms of including yoga, directed journaling, meditation, and a presentation by a holistic health counselor. This retreat also included a vision board session, where you collage and design your vision.
Another wonderful part of the retreat was that Melita, of Gussying Up The Tuttle, came from out-of-town for the retreat. It was so nice to meet her in person. Above is a picture of Kimberly and Melita.
I had a wonderful time – there will be another retreat like this on January 16, 2010, and I can’t wait!
PS – Kimberly assigned omwork – a weekly artist date. Be sure to check out her blog for more info on this artistic challenge and a chance to win a giveaway of a yoga CD and a complimentary mentoring session with her.
