Revisionista writes the Revising Life, another great source of wisdom on writing and life. I am so glad she sent in a pearl. Here it is:
Oh wee Revisionista, who doesn’t even really know what revision is yet, and who has no idea of all the places you’ll go or all the journals you’ll fill, here’s a bit of wisdom for you: Trust yourself. All your quirks, seeming unpolishedness, and guilty pleasures have a purpose. In the words of your favorite movie that you’ve been quoting non-stop of late, everyone “likes you very much. Just as you are.” I know you’re probably hoping I’ll tell you the secret to life or at least some catastrophes to avoid, such as that dark winter spent eating chicken kickers and cinnastix, but the bumps, disappointments, faux pas, and those extra pounds all lead to some important discoveries and decisions. You’ll just have to wait and see.

PS~~You might want to stick with the French. You’re really going to need it in about 9 years.
PPS~~Ben’s about to go through a dark period. But don’t worry. He gets a happy ending with a Jennifer…the one you like. (I know, it’s totally crazy!) Britney has a dark period as well but she pulls through. Oooooo, and watch out for Will on Alias–he’s not your type right now, but just wait, you’ll see….
PPPS~~the boy who loved you enough to take a picture of you grinning like a hienna under a billboard of Ben Affleck in Barcelona does end up proposing, but not on that trip. Be patient, mon amie.

Not only do these sound like good tips, but it looks like Revisionista shares my love of Alias. đŸ˜‰
