On Thankgiving Day, husband and I walked past Borders on the way home from a wonderful meal with friends. As you can see from the pictures, there were stuffed pandas all over Borders. I loved the playfulness of the scene and captured it on camera through the window of Borders.
Seeing the playful display was a nice reminder for me – I tend to be way too serious most of the time, and I definitely benefit from adding playfulness to my life. Here are some things I rely on:
*no matter how awful a situation feels, find humor in it
*carry sparkly pens in my purse
*cut-out collage materials from magazines {this invariably reminds me of childhood}
*giggle with husband

Great reminder about playfulness. I love it! And next time I'm in Border's I'll be looking for those Pandas.
couldn't agree more! life is too short to not enjoy it.
hugs!!
I'm late in reading this post, but it came at such a great time. I just learned (literally a half hour ago) that a dear family friend and his very young grandson went down in their plane, just south of Austin. Both died instantly.
I went to the Dr. today with accute hip and back pain. I was nervous as my flight was leaving in 2 hours. Dr. said both were due to too much exercise and stress.
There isn't that much I do that is terribly important. I basically draw pretty pictures. Taking time to play is very important. Thanks for the reminder!
