Gifts from the Universe

Whenever I see sights like the above picture, I feel very lucky.  But today, the gift from the universe I want to tell you about is a gift from a reader.  Several of you have commented on the lovely new banner gracing this space, and I have to thank Julie of Literary Jules for it.  Last week, after I told you all about my three-year blogiversary, Julie sent me the loveliest email with, attached to it, a banner!! How cool is that. She explained she had had the idea, and her talented graphic designer friend, Allison of Studio 127 Photography, helped her bring it to life. And. let me tell you, I was so very besotted with the banner I clicked on my blog all day to look at it.  I am working on making it stretch all the way across – the first attempt at hacking into html banner code did not go as well as I had hoped, so I went back to the default settings (with one little tweak to the html) – I know I must make it look perfect, however,  because Julie is an editor and writer, and she will notice, even if no one else does.  So thank you, Julie and Allison, for absolutely making my day. Now this blog is all grown up with a banner and everything.
