Today I am guest blogging at Naturally Nina on my experiences approaching yoga as a beginner, soon after 9/11. While yoga has added immeasurably to my life, those first few classes just felt awkward – maybe you can relate to that feeling, whether in yoga or something else? I am thrilled to be guest blogging over at Nina’s lovely blog. I have been reading it since she started writing it almost two years ago. She’s so authentic and her blog is just so lovely.
So, welcome to City|Life|Eats! I am so excited you stopped by my little corner of the web, where I have been writing about all the things in my life that make me very happy for several years – city living, yoga, food, cooking, farmer’s markets and just plain being. You can connect with moi via twitter or Facebook or by adding my blog feed to your reader (or receive it via email!). This is my fourth year blogging, so over time my interests have changed based on what is going on in my life – for a while, I wrote a lot about green beauty and paraben-free beauty products and makeup – a few years back I was not finding a lot of information about those topics, but now they are firmly in the mainstream. Then I was writing a lot about mindful living and my life in New York ( I lived in Brooklyn) and desserts. Looking back, I had a big dessert phase for a while there. And I was starting to write more about food in general, as I love to cook and love farmer’s markets.
Just as I was getting into a groove with blogging about my city life and eats in New York, I moved to Washington, DC. And realized I had to eat completely gluten-free and dairy-free to be healthy, so I started writing more about my adventures in the kitchen and at farmers’ markets (oh, and travelling with food intolerances – always a fun topic) But I still write about yoga and mindful living and occasionally about a really great green product – it’s a mish-mash amid urban chaos.
