On Sunday, I got together with a few friends (Julia, Lisa, Julie and Rachel) to Art Journal at Teaism – all of us had attended previous workshops on the topic and wanted to art journal as part of a group again. While we all worked individually on our pages, there is something very fun about art journaling with others.
Someone asked me recently how many notebooks I have going at the same time so I included the last picture for that reason – for art journaling, I mainly use the beige notebook (with the swirls and design on it), though I also sometimes use the pink/purple notebook (with the tree). The beige notebook is for general art journaling, while the pink/purple notebook is more of an idea book about outfits and personal style, which has been fun to put together a bit. I also have a small list notebook (beige and brown) which is a hodge podge of to-do’s and longer term lists and rarely gets any sort of collaging or journaling. Finally, the green notebook is my planner (no collaging as I like to keep it on the lighter end weight wise) while the multicolored one is a paper journal I occasionally write in, and lately have been adding collages to. I do not carry all of them around at all times. I usually have my planner and the list notebook with me at all times, but the others tend to stay at home on a day-to-day basis. For more information on art journaling, see the end of this post.

Love this! I had so much fun on Sunday with you all. Thanks for sharing all of your different journals. I tend to like to use one at a time, but just like with the planner pad, I’m inspired to start an idea/inspiration book. Hope you have a great week!
Thanks Lisa – I am a notebook addict, so it is fun to have different ones for different things Have a great week!
Art Journalling + Teaism sounds like bliss. I am so happy you have found a wonderful hobby and an amazing group of people to do it with.
I am too! I feel very lucky
I love when you share these types of posts, Valerie! They show our lives should be so much more than daily routines.
Hugs,
Shirley
Hi Shirley – thank your for your comment. I had never thought of it this way before but you are right, there is definitely more to life than routines. I think I have a blog post idea there, somewhere – must think about it more In any case, thank you for stopping by. Hugs.
