Happy Friday! Thank you for the comments and the twitter love on my Goûter post. I have a longer than usual work day ahead of me, but I wanted to stop by and tell you about a fun event I went to a couple of days ago – DanceTrance DC (DTDC) and Sarah partnered with the Junior Council, an organization of young professionals in the Washington, DC area who are dedicated to supporting Children’s National Medical Center through fundraising events and volunteering activities. The Junior Council’s biggest annual event is in a couple of weeks and leading up to it, the Council is having several events, including a DanceTrance class this past Wednesday, followed by a happy hour. As I mentioned in the past, one of the things I really enjoy about DTDC is the community aspect, especially as there is a strong emphasis on raising awareness of many great organizations in DC. I had never heard of the Junior Council but when I got home on Wednesday, I was inspired to check out their website and learn more about them.
You can see get all the info on DTDC here, connect with DTDC on twitter, or, to see more pictures of the various classes and community events on Facebook, you can even friend DTDC, or like DTDC. Also, I wanted to mention that there is a free DTDC class on February 2 at Lululemon in Georgetown, sponsored by sweetgreen.

Disclosure: In exchange for writing a series of blog posts on DTDC, DTDC has offered me a two-month complimentary DTDC membership. I have received no additional compensation for these posts. My opinion of DTDC is uninfluenced by receiving the complimentary membership, especially as I have previously paid for a DTDC membership and will resume doing so after my complimentary membership expires.
